Little is Yet Known in Shooting Death of Man Saturday Night

Pasadena Police responding to a “shots fired” call at 9:49 p.m. Saturday night located a victim in the 100 block of West Montana Street near North Fair Oaks Avenue. The man later died at a local hospital.

As he responded to the scene, Pasadena Police Lt. Jason Clawson said the man was down with at least one gunshot wound.

Pasadena Fire Department paramedics arrived and transported the victim to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The victim is described by police as a black man in his 40’s, but his identity was not released pending notification of family members.

Detectives responded to the scene. The homicide investigation is ongoing and no additional information is available at this time.
