A 30-year-old homeless man was arrested for armed robbery Tuesday afternoon after he brandished a knife at a Target employee in Pasadena, according to authorities.
Christopher Matheny entered the Target store on 777 East Colorado Boulevard around noon and allegedly attempted to steal some items, said Lieutenant Mark Goodman of the Pasadena Police Department.
When he attempted to leave, Matheny was confronted by loss protection agents, and subsequently pulled a knife on them, Goodman said.
“Officers responded and located the suspect a short distance away,” Goodman said. “The suspect was arrested without incident and the stolen items and the knife used in the crime were recovered, and there were no injuries.”
