Man Chases Suspect Who Left a Gash in His Head Early Thursday

Pasadena Police Lt. John Mercado reports a man was left with a cut on his head after being attacked by an unknown assailant at the corner of Orange Grove Boulevard and Raymond Avenue at 3:25 a.m. Thursday.

The victim, a Hispanic male in his 40s, was talking to a friend when the suspect, described as a black male in his 30s, walked up and hit the victim in the head with a hard object, causing injury.

The victim chased the suspect for about a block before losing him in the area and required medical treatment for his head wound.

The suspect is still at large.
