A man who lives on Brigden Road got quite a surprise Wednesday morning when he heard noises in his house and discovered a man having a bite to eat and drinking some orange juice in his kitchen.

Pasadena Police Lieutenant Max. Steven said the 55-year-old resident, who lives in the 1800 block of Brigden Road, confronted the man about 3 a.m. and asked him “What’s going on here?”

The suspect fled, taking with him a small, but empty, wallet. Police quickly arrived and captured him.

When the police conducted a field identification the victim was able to positively identify the suspect as the unwanted snacker in his home.

Dalhlstein said the suspect is Robert Ramirez, 53, a Pasadena homeless man. He was arrested on suspicion of residential burglary and is being held at the Pasadena jail on $50,000 bail.
