A 39-year-old man was arrested Tuesday after allegedly smashing windows and displays at a convenience store in Pasadena, causing damages estimated at $15,000.

Police said the man used an aluminum baseball bat and went on a rampage at the 7-11 in the 3600 block of East Colorado Blvd. at about 5:00 a.m.

A report on Pasadena Star-News said Los Angeles Sheriff’s deputies believed the suspect was under the influence of alcohol or drugs when the incident happened.

The Star-News quotes Lt. Mark Reyes of LASD’s Temple Station as saying the man, identified later as Jesse Arreola, entered the store and started breaking windows and display cases.

Arreola was arrested on suspicion of felony vandalism, the report said. Arreola is now in custody on a $20,000 bail.
