Man’s Jewelry Stolen in Grab-and-Run Strong Arm Robbery

A man getting into his car was the victim of a thief who forcibly removed a chain the man wearing around his neck in a Tuesday night strong arm robbery, police said.

The man was not injured in 7:28 p.m. incident, which took place in the 700 block of North Lake Avenue, Lt. Mark Goodman reported.

Goodman said that after he took the chain, the suspect ran to newer model four door car occupied by additional “unknown suspects and fled the location.”

The investigation is ongoing, Goodman said.
