Matt D. Ober Appointed to Executive Committee of California Legislative Action Committee

Senior Partner Matt D. Ober of Richardson Harman Ober PC, a Pasadena-based real estate, business and community association law firm, was appointed to serve on the Executive Committee as Secretary of the Community Associations Institute’s California Legislative Action Committee (CAI-CLAC) for 2014-2015. CLAC is the largest advocacy group in the country dedicated to monitoring legislation, educating elected state law makers, and protecting the interests of those who reside in common interest developments.

“The California Legislative Action Committee plays a vital role in bringing important legislation affecting homeowners associations to the forefront,” said Mr. Ober. “I look forward to deepening my commitment to the organization to improve the lifestyle of those living within California community associations.”

Mr. Ober is a long-standing Delegate to CLAC and is heavily involved in CAI. He is a member of CAI’s National Faculty, serves as President of CAI’s Greater Los Angeles Chapter and is a past President of the Greater Inland Empire Chapter. He is inducted into CAI’s College of Community Association Lawyers and is a contributing author to CAI’s California Law Course for Community Association Managers and the Board Education Course. In addition, he serves as a faculty member for the California Association of Community Managers.

CLAC is a volunteer committee comprised of homeowners and industry professionals, serving approximately nine million homeowners in nearly 50,000 community associations. CLAC provides educational, business and networking needs to common interest developments throughout California.
