Matt Denny’s Ale House Restaurant Corp Community Contributor of Year To be honored at Arcadia Chamber Dinner

Matt Denny’s Ale House Restaurant has been named Corporate Community Contributor of the Year by the Arcadia Chamber of Commerce.

The 17 year-old Matt Denny’s, which is a model corporate citizen that gives back to the community by supporting dozens of local organizations each year and producing two of its own charity benefit fundraisers, will be recognized during the Chamber’s annual Installation Dinner on March 31 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, 924 W. Huntington Drive in Monrovia.

Also being recognized at the dinner will be Citizen of the Year Bruce McCallum, as well as outgoing Chamber President Andrew Gregson of The Executive Factor.

The announcements were made this morning at the Arcadia Chamber’s annual Planning Conference and State of the City report.

The program is made possible by Arcadia Chamber Community Builder Presenting Sponsors: Westfield Santa Anita and Methodist Hospital, as well as event sponsors: USC Eye Institute, Singpoli’s Dusit D2 Constance Hotel, Professional Advisory Services, Foothill Credit Union, Century Rooter Service & Plumbing, BMW of Monrovia, and the Arcadia Association of Realtors.

In the past 14 years Matt Denny’s and partner Del Sol Salon have raised $600,000 for children’s cancer research through its annual St. Baldrick’s Day event supported by the Arcadia Police and Fire Departments, Monrovia Police and Fire Department, Kids Groups, Corporate Leaders and City officials.

Another annual event is Matt Denny’s “Bob Mac Classic” Golf Tournament, which has raised more than $50,000 over 13 years to help support the American Red Cross Arcadia Chapter, Foothill Unity Center, Special Olympics, St. Baldrick’s Foundation, and Wounded Warrior Project.

Matt Denny’s also supports the following groups: Arcadia Seniors, Arcadia Republicans, Arcadia Chinese Association, Arcadia Police and Fire Department, Arcadia Performing Arts Foundation, and donates gift certificates to many charities around the San Gabriel Valley.

The restaurant also sponsors the following: Santa Anita Little League, Arcadia American Little League, Arcadia National Little League, AYSO Region 2, and Arcadia High School Baseball, Softball, Basketball and Football programs.

Matt Denny’s Ale House Restaurant was opened in 1999 by Matt McSweeny and his friend Dennis Hartman.
