Mayfield Junior School celebrated its community and the fabric of what makes MJS special—it’s familial spirit—at the 2017 FUN Fall Fellowship. Located in the picturesque Arroyo Seco in Pasadena at Brookside’s golf course and softball fields, the joyful ‘One Mayfield’ gathering featured the tradition-filled golf tournament plus newly added Blue vs. White softball games.

Following the spirited competitions, MJS parents and friends attended a festive social hour at the golf club, were treated to live music by country band, Branch & Arrow, took part in lawn games and enjoyed a tasty BBQ.

Mayfield parents Eric Mills (P ’22, ’22, ’22, ’24) and Kelly Nakasone (P ’20, ’25) were thrilled to chair this year’s highly-successful event.

Mills commented, “My wife and my kids feel so blessed to be part of this school on so many levels and the Fun Fall Fellowship is just another shining example. What another great day for MJS.”

Building off the excitement stemming from the event, planning has already started for 2018.

“What’s really great about this event is there’s something for everyone—golf, softball, dinner and entertainment,” said Nakasone, a proud parent of two MJS students. “One of the things I enjoy most about Mayfield is the spirit inour community. This year’s event was fabulous and next year’s will be even better!”
