Media & Public Invited to Attend and Participate in an Earthquake Townhall Meeting

Caltech, US Geological Survey, and TalkRadio 790 KABC, will host an important broadcast: A Townhall Meeting: The Big Quake Threat is Real. KABC’s Doug McIntyre moderates a panel that includes Dr. Lucy Jones, USGS Seismologist and Dr. Tom Heaton, Caltech, Seismologist & Director, Civil Engineering.

The broadcast, which will be heard live on TalkRadio 790 KABC, takes place at 7:00 p.m. onTuesday, April 22nd at Caltech, Cahill Center, Hameetman Auditorium, 1216 E. California Blvd., Pasadena. The public is invited to attend this free Townhall, ask questions and participate. (Limited seating.)

This landmark townhall broadcast will focus on the likelihood of major earthquake hitting Southern California, the impact it will have, earthquake early warning system, and whether or not we are taking the necessary steps to deal with any quake that will inevitably strike.
