Mijares, Pasadena’s Oldest Restaurant, Celebrates 93rd Anniversary In Style

Published on Friday, October 18, 2013 | 8:08 am

Mijares Mexican Restaurant in Pasadena celebrated their 93rd year of being one of Pasadena’s favorite Mexican restaurant’s by hosting many of their longtime patrons for food, fun and giveaways.

Of course the real star of the night was Tequila. Over 20 tequila vendors were on hand to guide the guests through many tantalizing tastings while educating the attendees on the finer points of the tequila making process and everything that goes into making the nectar of agave.

In typical Mijares fashion, Chef Campos delighted the guests with his signature mouth-watering dishes while Mariachi’s strolled and entertained the crowd.

Mijares does all this for 93 years — can’t wait to see what they roll out for their 100 year anniversary!

In the meantime, enjoy the restaurant’s offerings at 145 Palmetto Dr. or  1806 E Washington Blvd., both in Pasadena. For more, call (626) 794-6674 or visit www.mijaresrestaurant.com
