At the Pasadena Hilton Thursday night, 400 gathered for the NAACP Pasadena Branch’s 27th Ruby McKnight Williams Awards Dinner. Among those honored were Betty Ford, Raphael Henderson, James McLamb, Tzeitel Paras-Caracci, Pasadena Fire Cheif Calvin Wells, Beverly White, Betty Sandford, Frank Girardot, Jr., Manuel Rustin, Rev. Dr. James Stevenson, City Attorney of Pasadena Michele Bagneris, Jeanette Mann, Kevin McDonald, Damon Zumwalt, and Vincent Pao.
The honorary Chairperson of the event was CEO/General Manager of the Rose Bowl Darryl Dunn. Chief Phillip Sanchez served as Master of Ceremonies.
