One of Neighborhood Church’s (NUUC) most beloved holiday traditions is the annual Alternative Gift Market, a way for people to empower local organizations making a difference in the community. Since last year, the NUUC congregation has provided upwards of $125,000 in financial support to more than 100 nonprofit organizations.

This year, Neighborhood Church is bringing the focus to its own community by providing aid to small, emerging organizations based in Southern California.

The process is simple: once the organizations confirm, NUUC take care of publicity and space. All the organizations have to do is show up and share their work. Anyone can come up and donate whatever they’d like, giving a truly meaningful holiday gift to an organization that needs it. It’s that simple.

The following organizations are participating:

Women’s Center for Creative Work The Trans Wellness Center (TWC) Los Angeles Room and Board LA Compost Bloom Again Foundation Journey House Pasadena San Gabriel Valley Humane Society Root Down LA Safe Parking LA

Alternative Gift Market will be held Sunday, December 15 at 10:45 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. (between church services) in Neighborhood Church’s Ross Chapel.
