ReNewology, a Pasadena non-profit that fosters longevity practices in urban and green settings, has started a series of workshops in Pasadena with a focus on healthy living, happiness, and resilience.
“Our services,” the organization said in a statement, “ fill the gap between research and implementation of healthy aging strategies through a community-wide effort. Our program cultivates role models of various ages who demonstrate healthy living, happiness and resilience within the City of Pasadena and surrounding communities.”
The group’s goal is to teach, study and share clinical and observational findings on reducing chronic and silent inflammation and empower individuals to be active participants in bettering their overall health.
The organization’s inaugural workshop, “Why Turning Back Your Aging Clock Is Possible,” was held January 20 at the Pasadena Women’s Club and it was ?lled to capacity, according to a news report.
The workshop included talks by Pasadena area physicians including with Dr. Mauro Zappaterra, Dr. Beauty Swe, Dr. David Kuo, and Dr. Gerred Popejoy. The program also included a panel led by ReNewology Executive Director Jayme Sachii which featured a group of area residents who shared their personal stories on how to turn back the clock by improving their energy, blood sugar, cholesterol, pain, and weight.
Upcoming ReNewology workshops will continue to explore longevity and wellness routines for men and women of all ages in Pasadena.
