The City of Pasadena’s Northwest Commission is having a special meeting on Tuesday, February 21, to discuss Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) proposals for program year 2017 to 2018 and to review the Northwest Strategic Plan.
The CDBG program is funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and provides grants to entitled cities and counties with the primary objective of developing viable urban communities, principally for low- to moderate-income persons.
Funding under the CDBG program is used to open up opportunities for decent housing, a suitable living environment, and expanded economic opportunity.
After public comments near the start of the meeting, the Commission will have an update from the Pasadena Police Department, to be given by Lt. John Mercado.
The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. at the Jackie Robinson Center, located at 1020 North Fair Oaks Avenue in Pasadena.
