Pasadena police Special Enforcement Section officers serving a warrant discovered identification documents and credit cards as they searched a Northwest Pasadena home involved in a narcotics investigation Friday night.
Lt. Jesse Carrillo said the warrant was served at a residence in the 200 block of Grandview Street near Washington Elementary School at about 8 p.m.
“Id cards, credit cards and checks in different names” were found, Carrillo said, “Subsequent followup confirmed some these items had been stolen.”
Carrillo said that a new investigation separate from the original narcotics case which brought officers to the home has been launched into the recovered documents.
Officers found one man, an ex-felon, at the property and arrested him for possession of firearms ammunition, Carrillo said.
The arrested man was identified as Alredo Chavez, 38, of Pasadena.
