Oliver! Buddy! Pets of the Week at the Pasadena Humane Society

Meet Oliver (A445615), a one-year-old cat who had it rough on the streets and got into a bad accident. We don’t know exactly what happened to him, but he arrived at the shelter with serious injuries throughout his body and completely blind. This poor boy is still recovering, but he’s now stronger than ever and is ready to find his forever home. We expect his wounds to heal, however Oliver’s eyesight will not return. He needs a home that can provide him with special love and care. Despite his troubled past, our volunteers and staff say Oliver is extremely sweet and social. He loves attention and is quite the lap cat. If you want a cuddle bug, Oliver might just be your new best friend.

The adoption fee for cats is $75. All cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated before being adopted.

New adopters will receive a complimentary health-and-wellness exam from VCA Animal Hospitals, as well as a goody bag filled with information about how to care for your pet.

Call the Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA at (626) 792-7151 to ask about A445615, or visit at 361 S. Raymond Ave. in Pasadena. Adoption hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday; and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Pets may not be available for adoption and cannot be held for potential adopters by phone calls or email. Directions and photos of all pets can be found at pasadenahumane.org.

November is Adopt a Senior Pet Month and 7-year-old Buddy (A445684) is hoping to find his forever home. Buddy is a friendly, 10lb Chihuahua mix with lots of energy. He enjoys going for walks with our volunteers. Buddy gets along with other small dogs, but will need some manners training when he walks past other dogs on leash. If you’re looking for an active, but older dog, Buddy just might be your guy!

The adoption fee for dogs is $130. All dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated before being adopted. Buddy qualifies for our Seniors for Seniors program, making his adoption free for adopters 60 and over.

New adopters will receive a complimentary health-and-wellness exam from VCA Animal Hospitals, as well as a goody bag filled with information about how to care for your pet.
