Online Tuition-Free Public School Hosts Information Session in Pasadena

California Connections Academy, a tuition-free online public school, will be hosting a free information session on Wednesday, May 3, for families interested in learning about its online program and individualized approach to education.

For Pasadena families, the information session will be held at the Courtyard Pasadena, located at 180 N. Fair Oaks Avenue, starting at 6:30 p.m.

California Connections Academy @ Capistrano is authorized under state law by the Capistrano Unified School District and is available to students in grades K-12 who reside in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, and San Diego counties.

The information session will provide families with an opportunity to meet with a California Connections Academy teacher, thoroughly explore the school’s program and curriculum, and learn about the enrollment process.

Other topics will cover how teachers interact with students in the virtual environment, personalized learning opportunities including options for accelerated learning and gifted programs, preparation for college, socialization, the role of the parent or other Learning Coach, and the use of technology.
