With the election of Hoyt Hilsman, who received the endorsement of the PCC Faculty Association, change has come to Pasadena City College. Responding to calls by faculty and students for reforms at the institution, voters chose to replace an incumbent Trustee for the first time in decades.

The Faculty Association is deeply appreciative of the broad community support for our efforts to restore PCC’s reputation of educational excellence in our community. President of the Faculty Association Julie Kiotas said, “We congratulate Trustee-elect Hilsman on his election and look forward to working with the new Board to rebuild collegial relations between faculty, staff, and administration so that we can continue to further student success.”

The Faculty Association applauds the dedicated efforts of PCC faculty volunteers in this election.

Hilsman garnered 1,414 votes; Bill Thomson, 778; and Marshall Lewis, 264 in the District 4 election.
