Parsons Announces Vautrinot as New Board Member

The Board of Directors of Parsons Corporation is pleased to announce that it has named Suzanne M. “Zan” Vautrinot as a new Director. Before retiring in October 2013, Ms. Vautrinot was a Major General in the United States Air Force (USAF) with a successful career influencing the development and application of cybersecurity and space technology.

During her 31-year tenure with the USAF, Ms. Vautrinot earned a reputation as a motivational leader and change agent focused on delivering technical innovations. Most recently, she served as Commander, 24th Air Force and Air Forces Cyber, where she oversaw a multibillion-dollar global cyber enterprise with 14,000 military, civilians, and contractors, while supporting 850,000 users and conducting cyber operations worldwide.

“As we continue to grow our cybersecurity portfolio by expanding our suite of services and industry sectors, we are extremely fortunate to have Zan join our board,” said Chuck Harrington, Parsons’ Chairman and CEO. “Zan was a highly decorated, award-winning Major General in the United States Air Force, and we will benefit greatly from her passion for cybersecurity and her experience securing the U.S. military’s most sensitive communications systems.”

As a cyber subject matter expert, Ms. Vautrinot has spoken at technical conferences and universities, advised key task forces, and testified before Congress. She has also authored multiple cutting-edge articles and has been widely interviewed by the press. Ms. Vautrinot is a member of the board of directors of Symantec Corporation; ECOLAB, Inc.; and Uniformed Services Benefit Association. She also serves as an advisor for the Airforce Doctrine Advisory Group and America300. Ms. Vautrinot holds a bachelor’s degree from the U.S. Air Force Academy and a master’s degree from the University of Southern California. She also completed Air Command and Staff College as well as Air War College. In addition, she was a National Security Fellow at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
