Parsons Recognized as a 2020 Women on Boards Winning “W” Company for 2014

Parsons, an international engineering, construction, technical, and management services firm, is pleased to announce that it has been recognized as a 2020 Women on Boards Winning “W” Company for 2014. Parsons received this distinction for having 20% or more women on its board of directors.

In 2011, Tamara L. Lundgren joined Parsons’ board as a new Director. She is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Schnitzer Steel Industries, Inc., one of the nation’s largest recyclers of scrap metal, a leading provider of used and recycled auto parts, and a manufacturer of finished steel products. In 2014, Parsons’ board named Jeanne M. Johns and Major General Suzanne M. “Zan” Vautrinot, USAF (ret) as new Directors. Ms. Johns is the Head of Safety and Operational Risk for BP’s refining and marketing businesses as well as the functional Head of BP’s Operating Management System, and Maj. Gen. Vautrinot served as Commander, 24th Air Force and Air Forces Cyber, before retiring in October 2013.

2020 Women on Boards is a nonprofit grassroots campaign committed to increasing the percentage of women who serve on company boards to 20% or greater by the year 2020. This campaign educates corporate stakeholders on the importance of board diversity and promotes companies like Parsons as examples of good corporate governance.
