Thirsty Agency, a Pasadena-based advertising agency, has been selected by the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (Concacaf) to create and execute the soccer league’s 2019 Concacaf Gold Cup creative campaign.

The agency’s message for the 2019 Gold Cup campaign, “This is Ours,” will serve as the focal point for all strategy, design, branding, marketing and content channels. The theme highlights the 15th edition of the confederation’s official national championship, which will celebrate the region’s culture and crown the best football teams of North America, Central America and the Caribbean, according to a Thirsty statement.

The Concacaf Gold Cup, which takes place every two years, is the official national team championships of the Americas. It is a celebration of soccer, sportsmanship and culture that draws large crowds and millions of television viewers across the region.

For the 2019 Gold Cup, sixteen national teams will compete in the summer, playing in more cities, more venues and more countries than ever before. The tournament will conclude on July 7, 2019 at the iconic Soldier Field in Chicago, where a new champion will be crowned.

Thirsty was launched in 2014 as a four-person operation, originally called Thirsty Concepts, working out of a garage music studio, according to a company profile. The company said they work on a strategy that’s based on the concept of “creating fans.”

“Fans are believers, passionate and loyal. From our experiences, fans are what every brand should aspire to have,” the company says on its website,

Recently, Thirsty took care of the design, development and production of the Mexican national team’s “Road to Russia” campaign before the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

With its “2 Languages, One Voice” campaign, the ad agency provided key creative services to generate interest among the Mexican American community for the Mexican team’s U.S. tour, which culminated in an exhibition match against Wales at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.

Thirsty’s offices are at 9 N. Fair Oaks Avenue in Pasadena. For more information, call (877) 711-5791 or email
