A digital public relations firm that said it’s “proud to call Pasadena our home” has been appointed “digital agency of record” to handle publicity for the popular Women of Wrestling (WOW) TV series.

With headquarters on East Union Street in downtown Pasadena, The1stMovement or T1M was selected by Jeanie Buss, Los Angeles Lakers President and WOW Owner.

Buss wanted to deliver the best possible consumer experience and share the excitement, energy and she feels for WOW’s female Superheroes. She said she found 1IM shares that vision.

“We sought an agency that could leverage digital media to grow and monetize our brand,” she said.

“The1stMovement was the sole agency to meet our key requirements of 1) proven digital strategy, design and development expertise, 2) providing key insights into our enthusiastic fan base and 3) delivering an outstanding customer experience.”

T1M’s first job will be to assist in re-launching WOW in 2015.

“Before we debut our new series of shows, we want to expand our digital presence in anticipation of the fan interest,” said Buss.

This is where T1M’s digital publicity experience comes in. T1M will partner with WOW for strategy, design, development and the continued build out of all of WOW’s digital initiatives.

T1M CEO Ming Chan said the firm is “excited about this opportunity to develop WOW’s digital strategy, and to enable them to further their engagement with their enthusiastic fan base”.

“These new digital properties, when combined with their social media platforms, will provide fans an integrated, highly engaging digital ecosystem,” she pointed out.

Chan described the contract with WOW as “a very important relationship for us”.

“We know WOW took months to interview many agencies. We understand WOW is a passion play for Jeanie and we are thrilled to say WOW is a passion play for us too!” Chan said.

T1M recently collaborated with Innovate Pasadena to produce a YouTube video extolling the qualities that make Pasadena an ideal community in which to work and live. The video is at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=02Wx7Pon5xM#t=24.

WOW Enterprises, LLC stopped producing the poplar female wrestling series in 2001 due to a declining advertising market.

WOW returned to TV in 2012. Its female wrestlers are now called “Superheroes”.
