Pasadena Angels Announces Strongest Funding Numbers to Date in 2015

Pasadena Angels (PA) announced today that the group has invested a total of $4.9M in 27 deals in 2015, making it the most successful year in its fifteen year history.

The group announced that PA members have invested over $65 million in over 175 companies since its inception.

The investments span a wide variety of industries including telecommunications, consumer products, healthcare, logistics, co-working office space, biosciences, data analytics, and software technology, the announcement said.

Pasadena Angels funded companies have gone on to raise over $500 million from additional funding sources such as venture capital and private equity.

The Pasadena Angels’ investment portfolio in 2015 includes 13 new companies: Orca Inventory Systems, Episona, Nailsnaps, Pasture Bird, Level27, Datum Security, Veristride, Connected Signals, granPad, Beatshare, Tallygo, Happy Desk, and Pick my Solar. Follow-up rounds include 14 companies: Transcribe Me, NabThat, Larada Science, Wasatch Microfluidics, Streamup, Cross Campus, Anymeeting, Sonoma Cider, Chai Energy, Fan Bread, CrowdMics, Schlep & Fetch, Lottogopher, and Edufii.

The Pasadena Angels had several successful exits in 2015 including MindBody Software IPO at $600 million and Bluebeam software acquisition for $100 million.
