Pasadena Church Designates Thanksgiving Offering to Standing Rock Sioux

All Saints Church in Pasadena announced that it is designating 100% of the offering from its Thanksgiving Eve service to the Water Protectors of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe.

“We invite and challenge everyone to join us in giving to support to the water protectors for help winterizing their camp so the defense of their sacred land can continue through the winter months,” said All Saints Rector Mike Kinman. “Donations will be sent through a special fund set up in conjunction with tribal leaders for this purpose.”

In addition to the collection at the 7:30 p.m. Thanksgiving Eve Service, church leaders are encouraging online donations and challenging other communities of faith to join them through a Facebook group titled “Thanksgiving Offerings for Standing Rock” — https://www.facebook.com/ThanksgivingStandingRock/
