Crystal Guerrero, a Los Angeles resident pursuing a Master of Science in Finance at the Gordon S. Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California, was recently awarded the $10,000 Bonnie Baha Memorial Scholarship, which will be applied to her tuition at USC.
Bonnie Baha was a Pasadena-area native who achieved great success in the financial sector before her life was cut short by an accident at the age of 56. Her family and friends established the Bonnie Baha Memorial Scholarship in her memory to advance the numbers and roles of women in the financial sector, a cause which was near and dear to Bonnie’s heart.
Pasadena Community Foundation manages the Bonnie Baha Memorial Scholarship, which is of great relevance in today’s economic climate. New studies demonstrate that diversity, including gender diversity, among leadership teams results in greater innovation and better financial performance.
PCF sends its sincere congratulations to Ms. Guerrero, and we thank the Baha family, friends, and scholarship committee for its generosity and commitment to honoring Bonnie’s legacy.
