Allie Hollon, her husband and her infant daughter all survived Sunday night's hit-and-run accident; her dog LaBell was not so lucky, and was killed.

It was a beautiful Sunday night, perfect for walking around the neighborhood with their dog and a chance to admire holiday lights.

On the way back to their residence in the 100 block of Columbia Avenue, near the South Pasadena border, Bryan Hollon, 40, and his wife, Allie, 30, joined by their 4-month old infant in a harness-carrier on her mom’s chest, and their dog, a 7-1/2-year-old Boston Terrier named LaBell, the Pasadena couple waited for the light to turn green in the crosswalk. The family stood patiently at the southwest corner of Orange Grove Avenue and Columbia Street when a vehicle approached them heading westbound.
