On Sunday, June 9, 2019, the Pasadena Delta Foundation (PDF) and the Pasadena Alumnae Chapter (PAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. along with a host of guests, family members, supporters and dignitaries enjoyed a lovely afternoon of good food, great music and big fun in a ballroom beautifully decorated by Scarlet Flowers Designs and a picturesque view from the La Canada-Flintridge Country Club as academic awards were presented to fifteen deserving high school graduates.

PAC has provided service to the greater Pasadena/Altadena community since 1961. More than $450,000.00 in academic awards has been presented to high school graduates. Upon its founding in 1994, PDF has partnered with PAC to address unmet needs in our community via fundraising. Donations have assisted in the funding public service projects and community programs which occur each year, such as the Young African American Women’s Conference.

Debra Ward-Samad, current PDF President and Event Chair, along with Dr. Hilarie Dyson Green and Debbie Williams, Co-Chairs of the White Linen Affair Committee and the WLA team worked tirelessly to plan an outstanding event to honor the academic awards recipients, and to celebrate the PDF 25th Anniversary. Lynnette West-Cater is the current PAC President.
