A Pasadena Battalion Chief and two Pasadena Fire Dept. engines returned safely Friday night from deploying to the Kincade Fire in Northern California.

Over the last eight days, Pasadena Fire Dept. personnel assigned to Strike Teams 1201A and 1205A saw initial action at the Tick Fire in Santa Clarita, then were reassigned to the Kincade Fire where they provided structure protection throughout Sonoma County.

The Kincade fire was 68% contained as of late Friday.

As of Saturday morning, one Pasadena firefighter is still assigned to the Kincade Fire. Today, he was attached to the Chalk Structure Defense Group; marking fire suppression repair needs throughout the division.

Pasadena committed a total of 10 personnel and two fire engines to the Strike Teams.
