Over 270 Realtors®, Affiliates and special guests welcomed Katheryn Henry as 2011 President of the Pasadena-Foothills Association of Realtors® (PFAR) at their Annual Inaugural and Awards Luncheon at The Langham, Huntington Hotel & Spa. Realtor® Dick Kasten served as Master of Ceremonies for the gala program that included installation of the 2011 Board of Directors and presentation of awards.
2008 National Association of Realtors® (N.A.R.) President Richard Gaylord installed Katheryn Henry as PFAR’s 2011 President. Taking over from Outgoing President Michael Shaar, Henry brings over 22 years of industry knowledge and experience to the Association. A sales associate at Century 21 Golden Realty, she has served on the PFAR Board of Directors from 2004-2006 and received the “2004 Realtor® of the Year” award.
Joining Henry on the 2011 Board of Directors are President-Elect Ruth McNevin, Vice President Shannon Miller, Secretary Sharon Mancillas and Treasurer Barry Jones. Directors include Cecil Griffin, Enrique Lizarazu, Jesus Esparza, Lynnell Woodward, Andrew Cooper, Bill Podley, Marie N’Goumba-McDonald, Peggy Vaccaro and Immediate Past President Michael Shaar.
The 2010 Realtor® of the Year Award went to Rick Stever of Sotheby’s International Realty in Pasadena. A Realtor® since 1999, Stever served as 2008 PFAR President, chaired the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) and the i-Tech MLS Committees. He has also served on the Board of Directors of PFAR and CAR.
Kirk Dilbeck of Inter Valley Escrow received the 2010 Affiliate of the Year Award for his outstanding contributions to the PFAR Charitable Foundation over the past 17 years. As PFAR Affiliate Chairman, he has also served on the PFAR Board of Directors for five years.
Rita Sahlein of Sotheby’s International Realty and Norm Haley received the 2010 President’s Award. Realtor® since 1980, Rita Sahlein has served on the PFAR Board of Directors, chaired several committees including Local Government Relations and New Member Orientation. She was also elected President in 2003. Norm Haley, a Realtor® and Broker since 1976, has been a Hearing Officer of the Professional Standards Committee for over 25 years. He has also served on the PFAR Board of Directors and various committees.
Special guests included legislators and public officials including Congressman Adam Schiff; Assembly Member Anthony Portantino; District Representative for Congressman Adam Schiff, Teresa Lamb Simpson; Deputy to Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael Antonovich, Rita Hadjimanoukian; and La Cañada Flintridge Council Member Laura Olhasso. Representatives from the Salvation Army in Pasadena also joined the festivities to collect toy donations for their Angel Tree Program.
