Pasadena Half Marathon organizers announced Wednesday that general registration for the second annual race at the Rose Bowl is sold out, four-and-a-half weeks in advance of the January 21 event.

Conqur Endurance Group said this is the second consecutive sellout on their 2017-2018 race calendar, following the Santa Monica Classic which reached capacity more than five weeks before race day.

More than 10,000 participants are expected on race day, double the number from the inaugural race last year.

“With the finish on the field at the Rose Bowl and iconic course through Pasadena, this is a unique event,” Murphy Reinschreiber, Conqur Endurance Group CEO, said. “We’re excited that it has been so well received by the running community and looking forward to providing a great race day experience.”

Race participants will experience running a picturesque course through beautiful Pasadena, passing landmarks like the Colorado Street Bridge, Old Town Pasadena, and Caltech before a majestic finish on the field at the world-famous Rose Bowl.

With general entries closed, Conqur is offering a limited number of charity entries, which require payment of the entry fee, plus a minimum $50 donation; the charity will benefit the Pasadena Ronald McDonald House, the event’s official charity partner.

Limited entries also remain for Pasadena 5K at the Rose Bowl and the Rose Bowl Rush Kids Run, which also take place January 21; like the Half Marathon, both races finish on the field at Rose Bowl.

The Health and Fitness Expo kicks off the weekend festivities on Friday, January 19, and Saturday, January 20 at the Pasadena Convention Center where brands will showcase their products and services. The Health and Fitness Expo is open to the public and admission is free.
