Pasadena Host Lions Club Continues Tradition of Community Service by Awarding Grants to Nonprofits

The Pasadena Host Lions service club continued its tradition of community service with a June 19 luncheon at which the organization awarded grants to seven local nonprofits: Elizabeth House, Frostig Center, Leadership Pasadena, CA Lions Friends In Sight, Villa Esperanza, Hoving Home and Wayfinders Social Services.

During the 2017-2018 fiscal year, Pasadena Host Lions Club distributed grants totaling $91,000 to local nonprofits.

Since 2007, Pasadena Host Lions Memorial Trust has granted over $770,000 in requests to over 100 individuals and nonprofit organizations from our community and surrounding area.

The Memorial Trust was first created by in 1973 with funds to be used exclusively for the betterment and welfare of children or the disabled, either directly or by contributions to licensed charitable organizations serving those populations.

Over the past eleven years the Trust has averaged grant funding of approximately $70,000 per year.
