Davante Dean, 19, of Los Angeles, is a suspect in a string of “knock-knock” residential burglaries along the 210 Freeway corridor and throughout some San Gabriel Valley neighborhoods. He was investigated by the L.A. County Major Crimes Bureau’s Burglary-Robbery Task Force (BRTF) following his arrest on a residential burglary charge in the unincorporated area of Pasadena in February.

Dean was released on bond on February 21. BRTF detectives allegedly then followed him and two additional passengers (Kamron Brown, 18, and Darion Turner, 18) as they headed east along the 210 Freeway into Fontana.

During an active surveillance, the suspects were reportedly observed running from the backyard of a residence in the 6000 block of Firestone Drive carrying pillowcases.

BRTF coordinated with the Fontana Police Department and a traffic stop of the suspects was initiated. They were arrested without incident.

Authorities said stolen property, estimated to be worth several thousand dollars, was recovered from the vehicle and was ultimately returned to the victims. Felony conspiracy and residential burglary charges were filed against all three suspects. BRTF detectives are collaborating with local investigators from several agencies and stations to try to determine the extent of the suspects’ alleged criminal activities.
