Mi Historia, Mi Manera is The Pasadena Playhouse’s commitment to be better neighbors.

Through a series of local partnerships, Mi Historia, Mi Manera aims to increase participation of Latina/o adults in the arts in the San Gabriel Valley, expand the Playhouse’s reach into non-traditional venues in the region, and to expand the impact of the arts by building community-focused performing arts programming that creates long-term relationships with diverse populations.

Working deeply with partner organizations across the San Gabriel Valley, Mi Historia, Mi Manera invites members of diverse communities to participate in free theatre workshops, attend staged readings, and to join in the creation of fun and meaningful works of participatory theatre.

This year, our partners include ImaginAction, Pasadena City College, La Puente Art Walk, Leadership for Urban Renewal Network (LURN) and the multi-genre, multi-cultural Grammy award winning band Ozomatli. Click on the images below to learn more.

Mi Historia, Mi Manera exemplifies The Pasadena Playhouse’s commitment to artistic and theatrical diversity, and it allows us to expand our community engagement across the San Gabriel Valley. This is our commitment to be a better neighbor.
