Pasadena Police, Fire Departments to Salute Fallen Comrades Thursday Morning

On May 15, 2015, the City of Pasadena will host the 2015 Pasadena Police and Fire Memorial in front of Pasadena City Hall. This ceremony is the 3rd year that City Officials, Police and Fire personnel and community members will honor Pasadena first responders who died in the line of duty serving the people that live, work and visit in Pasadena.

The program will include brief speeches from Mayor Terry Tornek, Chief of Police Phillip L. Sanchez and Fire Chief Bertral Washington, along with the Presentation of Colors, the National Anthem, and the traditional 21-Gun Salute, Ringing of Bell, and Taps. Present will be family members of the fallen heroes who are being remembered with a public reading of their names. To date, six Pasadena Police Officers and nine Firefighters have lost their lives serving our community.

The 2015 Pasadena Police and Fire Memorial will be held on Thursday, May 15, 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Pasadena City Hall (100 N. Garfield Avenue).

The event is open to the public and community members are encouraged to attend to pay tribute to the public safety personnel who willingly risk their lives to serve yours. This program is free of charge.
