Pasadena police officers arrested a 43-year-old male transient on Friday night after it was found he was the subject of an outstanding federal warrant for bank robbery.

Lt. Jesse Carrillo said the man was walking in the area of Arroyo Parkway when officers contacted him for unknown reasons at about 9:30 p.m.

“Upon conversing with him and finding out his information, they were able to run his name and found that he was an outstanding fugitive,” Carrillo said.

The man was arrested for the outstanding warrant. At the same time, the Pasadena Police Department notified the FBI about the arrest.

The suspect was identified as Ruben Fajardo.

“He was sent down to County [Jail] and from there, the FBI will take him into custody,” Carrillo said.
