Critical Incidents:

On January 16, two suspects drove by a group of people in the 700 block N Garfield Avenue and shot at multiple victims with an assault rifle and handgun. One victim, a female, was seriously injured when she was struck by gunfire (hand).. The victim was taken to a local hospital and received emergency medical treatment, however, it unlikely she will ever gain full use of her hand. Last week, Pasadena Police detectives identified the two suspects (Anthony Edwards, 25 years, Marquis Turner, 28 years) responsible for the shooting and arrest them without incident:   The case was presented to the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office and several counts of attempted murder, conspiracy, and gang allegations were filed against both suspects.  Bail was set at $3,040,000 for Edwards & $3,090,000 for Turner.

On April 24, at about 5:52 p.m., Pasadena Police officers investigated a call of shots fired in the 600 block of North Marengo Avenue.  On arrival, officers found evidence suggesting a shot had been fired.  Officers canvassed the area; however, they did not locate any victims.  Our investigation is ongoing.

On April 24, at about 7:45 p.m., Pasadena Police officers responded to the 3800 block of Foothill Boulevard regarding a robbery investigation.  On arrival, officers learned that the suspects entered a commercial wireless store, simulated a gun, and ordered the employees to lie on the floor.  The suspects forced the clerk to open a secure area of the store and removed approximately 40 cellular telephones.   The suspects then fled the location on foot.  The suspects are described as male Hispanics in their 30s.  If you have information about this incident, please call the Pasadena Police Department at (626) 744-4241.

On April 25, at about 4:02 a.m., Pasadena Police officers investigated an Assault with a Deadly Weapon (ADW) in the 400 block of North Los Robles Avenue.  On arrival, officers learned that the suspect and victim live together in an apartment.  The suspect was making noise while other occupants were trying to sleep.  The victim confronted the suspect and he (the victim) was attacked.  The suspect lunged at the victim with a large knife, causing a 4” laceration.  PPD officers found the suspect standing outside the apartment still armed with the knife.  Officers ordered the suspect to drop the knife and he was arrested without incident.  The suspect was transported to the Pasadena jail and charged with ADW.

On April 29, at about 1:57 a.m. Pasadena Police officers investigated a call of shots in the 1600 block of Kenneth Way.  On arrival officers observed a vehicle speeding away from the area of the shots and conducted enforcement stop.  PPD officers discovered it had been damaged by gunfire; however, the three occupants were uncooperative refusing to provide suspect information. Our investigation is ongoing.
