Pasadena Police Conclude Homicide Investigation with More Arrests

Pasadena Police Detectives arrested the final suspects involved in the murder of Zane Goldstein on January 15, 2013. The shooting of the victim was precipitated by Zane Goldstein and his brother arranging to meet one of the suspects to sell a nominal amount of marijuana. During the contact, the suspects attempted to rob the victims and a shooting ultimately occurred.

The following three suspects have been criminally charged and remain in custody: Raymond Frank Conchas,  John Michael Piepoli, and Ruby Yvette Conchas.

Pasadena Police detectives also arrested Stephanie Urias Jacquez  for murder. Raymond Conchas and Stephanie Jacquez were previously classified as wanted by the police and on on January 29, they turned themselves into law enforcement following a media release of their names and pictures. Stephanie Jacquez was released today without charges filed.

Criminal charges against the previously arrested juvenile are under review by the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office.

“The arrests and subsequent criminal charges are the first steps to bringing the persons responsible for this senseless death to justice”, said Police Chief Phillip Sanchez.
