The Pasadena Police Department has closed a missing person case after contacting a Pasadena woman and her daughter, who family members reported have been missing since Friday.

In an advisory posted on Nixle, the police department said Sheila Wallace, 64, and Marina Morse, 41, were contacted Tuesday. The advisory said the pair told police “they were not in distress.”

“Concerned family members were notified of their status and the missing person case has been closed,” the advisory said. “The Pasadena Police Department is appreciative of the partnership it enjoys with the community and the media to become our extra eyes and ears in these types of cases.”

On Friday, Wallace’s son reported the two missing after finding the apartment they live in on South Allen Avenue vacant. Quoting relatives, police said Wallace needed constant medical attention. Her daughter was her primary caregiver.

The advisory did not say where mother and daughter had been since Friday.
