Pasadena Police Locate Two Missing Men

The Pasadena Police Department is happy to report that two men whom they were seeking last week have been found and safely returned to their residences.  George Clay went missing on December 30th from a residential board and care facility in the 1700 block of North Fair Oaks Avenue.  He was found on January 11 wandering the streets of Glendale where he was picked up and medically evaluated.  He has been returned to his board and care facility.

Kenneth Donaldson ran away from his caretaker on January 4th, but returned home on January 11th.  Police responded to insure his well being and he appeared to be fine.  “We are relieved that in both cases, these gentlemen were returned to their residences with no physical harm,” says Interim Chief of Police Christopher Vicino.

“This is the outcome we always hope for, but is a significant reminder to all of us that we need to watch for and keep an eye out for others.  We want to take this opportunity to remind our citizens that the Pasadena Police Department is sensitive to the needs of the mentally ill and homeless in our  City.  Our HOPE (Homeless Outreach Psychiatric and Evaluation) Team is a crucial component to our ability to effectively respond to calls involving the homeless and mentally ill in Pasadena and a contributing factor in successfully solving problems related to mental illness and homelessness.”

The Pasadena Police Department urges residents to call the police when encountering homeless individuals that are acting strangely or are in any kind of apparent distress.  “Our effort is to get them connected to the services they need,” says the Chief.
