Phlunte’ Riddle has received the endorsement of the Pasadena Police Officers Association, announced the Riddle campaign.

“Phlunte’ is trustworthy, honest, and supports police officers’ rights. She understands how to balance the needs of public information versus the rights and privacy of police officers. I am confident that Phlunte’ is the only deserving candidate for us to support for the California State Senate,” said Sam De Sylva, President of the Pasadena Police Officer Association.

Since 1979, the Pasadena Police Officers Association has represented all police officers and corporals hired by the City of Pasadena. Riddle was a member of the organization throughout her nearly 29 years rising through the ranks of the Pasadena Police Department. She broke barriers as the first woman to be permanently assigned as a gang/street narcotics officer and the first African American female sergeant and lieutenant. She retired as a lieutenant, where she was the Public Information Officer & Adjutant to the Chief of Police.

“I am truly honored and humbled to be endorsed by the Pasadena Police Officers Association,” said Riddle. “I spent my career serving Pasadena along side these brave men and women. I am grateful for their support of my candidacy.”

Riddle resides in Pasadena with her husband of 36 years and is the mother of three adult sons. She is an adjunct professor at Golden West College and owns a consulting company, where she trains executives and helps solve communications challenges in organizations.
