After the war, my father remembered the area from the work his father had done, so in 1948 he and my Mother returned and bought a lot in San Rafael area, built a house and it was where they raised their family and lived for 57 years.”

Bell has sold homes in “Pasadena, San Marino, La Canada, Glendora, Monrovia, Sun Valley, La Cresenta, and even Tarzana. “This year with low inventory and rising prices, sometimes you have to venture into areas that you might not be familiar with to get your clients what they want… you go farther out”.

Bell’s philosophy of “going further out” is not just applicable to real estate. As a lifelong avid sailor, she literally goes “further out”.

“I grew up on the water, my father was a big sailor. As a family, we have had many adventures sailing the high seas. As a kid, we took the boat up to Alaska and spent a few months sailing down Inland Passage… at 19 I was able to sail across the Atlantic on a square-rigged old school ship. We have also sailed the boat several times in the Trans Pac race to Hawaii and Tahiti.”

Unsurprisingly, Bell has applied her sailing knowledge to real estate. A capable captain at the helm of a sailboat, she is also quite adept at helping home buyers and sellers navigate the complex waters of real estate.
