Pasadena Stabbing Caught on Cellphone Video

A man stabbed a woman in an unprovoked attack at the AM PM gas station on Walnut Street and Los Robles Avenue Friday arounf 5:30 p.m. in an attack that was captured on cellphone video.

The woman, a Modesto resident, was sitting in her car when the man walked up and kicked the passenger side door.

When the woman and her male passenger got out to confront the man, the man stabbed the woman in the neck with a pocket knife. Her passenger punched the suspect, who was knocked to the ground by the blow.

The suspect is Luis Martinez, 26, of Pasadena. He was arrested by arriving police on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.

The victim was transported to a local hospital where she was listed in stable condition.
