The Tournament of Roses announced today that they would hold a pre-sale for tickets to the 2016 Rose Bowl Game presented by Northwestern Mutual. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, October 9 at 9:00 a.m. PT/12 p.m. ET.
Tickets will be available online or by calling Ticketmaster at 1-800-653-8000. The sale will give fans the first opportunity to secure tickets for the Granddaddy of Them All, which will take place Friday, January 1, at 1:30 p.m. PT at the Rose Bowl stadium.
“This year’s pre-sale marks the first-time that the Tournament of Roses has allowed fans to purchase tickets prior to the team selection for a traditional Rose Bowl Game,” said Bill Flinn, Executive Director of the Tournament of Roses. “We hope that fans will use this opportunity to secure their spot at the Granddaddy of them All. There’s truly no place like Pasadena on New Year’s Day and we look forward to hosting a great college football game.”
In 2016, the Rose Bowl Game presented by Northwestern Mutual will return to its traditional matchup, featuring the champion of the Big Ten and Pac-12 Conference. If either Conference Champion is chosen to compete in a College Football Playoff Semifinal, the Tournament of Roses will select the next top team from the conference as a replacement. The official team selection will be announced LIVE on Sunday, December 6 on ESPN.
A maximum of four tickets per person will be available during the Rose Bowl Game ticket pre-sale. Individual ticket prices start at $150 plus Ticketmaster handling fees.
In addition to the Ticketmaster pre-sale, fans can also purchase official Rose Bowl Game travel and ticket packages online through PrimeSport.
