Gurchuran S. Bawa, Interim General Manager of Pasadena Water and Power, announced two upcoming community meetings to discuss the findings of the Alternative Routes Study Reports for the Non Potable Water Project, the first of which will be held Tuesday night.

The reports on the City’s findings relative to alternative routes were made available to the public in late October.

In February 2016, the City Council certified the Environmental Impact Report for the Non
Potable Project. During the hearing, PWP received feedback from residents along the project
pipeline requested that PWP assess alternative routes using a number of criteria, which
includes: environmental impacts, geohazard conditions, construction challenges and costs,
schedule delays, and impact to trees. To view the detailed reports of the study, visit:

The project will provide at least 3,000 acre feet of non potable water, off setting nearly
10% of Pasadena’s water use and saving millions of gallons of drinking water annually.
