Pasadena Water and Power has released its 50-page 2014 Annual Report detailing how the utility company conducted an extensive multimedia campaign to tame water waste, its continued efforts with Phase 1 of the Recycled Water project and breaking ground on one of the largest capital improvement projects in the city’s history.

The report, entitled “Stewardship for the Future” summarizes the utility company’s accomplishments and progress on key initiatives and detailed data on its financial health.

“PWP continues to focus on operating efficiently and effectively to provide our customers with the highest level of service,” said PWP General Manager Phyllis E. Currie. “As today’s stewards of Pasadena’s community-owned utility, it’s our responsibility to ensure that PWP remains strong and viable for the future.”

Some of the achievements listed in the report is the utility company initiating a community effort to update its 20-year Power Integrated Resource Plan, the launching of a high-tech Outage Management System (OMS) to speed repairs and improve communication with customers and the start of construction a multi-million dollar repowering project at the City’s historic Glenarm Power Plant.
