Temperatures will increase across southwestern California Saturday and will be very warm this weekend,reaching the low to mid 90s at many locations in the interior valleys.
As a result, there is a moderate potential for heat risks across Pasadena this weekend. In addition the very warm and dry conditions will bring elevated fire danger to interior sections, especially an increased threat of grass fires.
In Pasadena, Saturday will be clear and sunny as a number of events happen almost at the same time, including the Amgen Tour of California which at the Pasadena Convention Center.
Maximum temperatures could go up to near 91 with a moderate west southwest wind between five and 10 mph.
To mitigate the heat risks, people and pets should drink plenty of water and stay out of the midday sun if possible. Never leave kids or pets in vehicles for any length of time. The elderly and outdoor animals should be checked on frequently to ensure they have plenty of water and shade.
Saturday night will be clear with a low around 64 and a calm east northeast wind.
Sunday will be bright and sunny with a high near 91 and a south southwest wind at five to 10 mph.
Sunday night will be mostly clear with a low around 64 and calm southeast winds overnight.
Maximum temperatures go down a few degrees Monday, which will be mostly sunny with a high near 87 and a calm east northeast wind becoming south southwest in the evening.
Monday night will be mostly clear with a low around 82.
