Pasadena’s Largest Egg Bowl Featured 77,000 Eggs

Published on Sunday, April 16, 2017 | 4:25 am

Easter came early at Pasadena’s third annual Egg Bowl on Saturday. This cheerful event drew over 6,000 children in search of a record-breaking 77,000 eggs scattered on the field of Rose Bowl Stadium. Egg hunters were up to 12 years old and came from all over Los Angeles. Lucky egg hunters found eggs with tickets inside and won Easter baskets. The Egg Bowl also included a Spring Festival with music, bunny ear contests, puppet show, arts and crafts and face painting.

The Egg Bowl is sponsored by the City’s Human Services and Recreation Department www.cityofpasadena.net/humanservices.com and the Rose Bowl Operating Company www.rosebowlstadium.com.
