The City of Pasadena’s Recreation and Parks Commission will be meeting on Tuesday, March 6, to discuss a number of items including the recommended projects for the fiscal year 2019-2023 Capital Improvement Program (CIP).
Also listed in the agenda as New Business are a Recreation and Parks Foundation overview, a Central District Park Planning update, and the Human Services and Recreation Monthly Report.
Tuesday’s meeting starts at 6 p.m. at the City Yards Second Floor at 233 West Mountain Street in Pasadena.
Later on in the meeting, committee members are scheduled to present their reports, among them maintenance and safety, urban forestry advisory, recreation programs, Capital Improvement Program/Revenue, Arroyo, accessibility and disability, the Recreation and Parks Foundation, and the Robinson Park committee.
The Recreation and Parks Commission meets every first Tuesday of each month. The Commission advises the Pasadena City Council on all matters concerning parks and recreation, the Arroyo Seco, and the Rose Bowl and Brookside Golf Courses.
It also makes recommendations to the City Council, city officials, and other governmental or private agencies as may appear to be proper or necessary for improvement of the area in and around Central Park.
