Anthony Johnson, who finished his freshman season as a linebacker on the Pasadena City College football team, has signed a NCAA Division I national letter of intent to attend Kent State University (Ohio).

Johnson transferred for the 2015 season after recording 27 tackles, nine for loss yardage. The 6-foot-4, 210 pound Johnson added five quarterback hurries, three sacks, two pass knockdowns, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in nine games for the ’14 Lancers.

From Washington High (Miami, Fla.), Johnson is expected to play both linebacker and defensive end for Kent State. The Golden Flashes are members of the Mid-American Conference.
